www.play-and-stay.co.uk is owned and run by Holiday Extras Ltd, we are the UKs market leaders in providing travel products such as airport hotels, airport parking and travel insurance. We successfully look after 2.5 million customers a year and were established in 1983. We are a privately owned business. Can I buy Theme Park tickets on their own?
Unfortunately this is not possible, as our tickets must be purchased as part of a hotel package. We do have some ticket only special offers these can be booked online at www.fun-ticket.co.uk. Back to top

When do I get my tickets?
For bookings we will email a confirmation voucher to you. This will serve as proof of payment for both the hotel and your Theme Park tickets. You will need to exchange this confirmation email at the Group bookings desk at the park to receive your entrance tickets, please take the confirmation email with you. Back to top

What happens if I lose my vouchers before I go?
If you lose this voucher please call us on 0800 9555 980 and we will arrange for a replacement voucher to be re-sent. The original voucher (should you subsequently find it) will be then become void. Back to top

Can I book at short notice?
Yes you can actually book on the day you want to go. Back to top

Do you have a brochure?
We have chosen not to produce a brochure for www.play-and-stay.co.uk as we prefer to keep our website totally up-to-date with the latest prices, availability and information. Back to top

Is breakfast at the hotel incldued in the package?
Most Play-and-Stay packages do include breakfast (but not all), please check carefully before confirming your booking whether you have selected a room only or breakfast included package. Back to top

What if I need to cancel my booking?
Should you or any member of your party need to cancel your booking once it has been confirmed, the party leader must immediately advise us. All cancellations must be made through Play-and-Stay. Telephone 0800 9555 980. No refund is made for cancellation of bookings within 24 hours of the date of ticket entrance to the park or within 24 hours of the hotel stay (or after). An administration fee of £15.00 per room per night applies to all other cancellations. Back to top

What if I need to amend my booking?
We will do our best to amend bookings for you, this may increase the price of the original booking if you are adding nights, additional family members or additional rooms. We will not charge you an additional amendment fee however. If the amendment results in a reduction in the price of the original booking we will provide you with a refund on the difference. Any amendments within 24 hours of the date of ticket entrance to the Theme Park or within 24 hours of the hotel stay will be treated as a cancellation. Back to top

Where is Thorpe Park?
Thorpe Park is located take off Junction 11 or Junction 13 off the M25 and follow the signs via A320 to Thorpe Park. The nearest train station is Staines with regular services from Waterloo, Clapham Junction, Reading and Guildford. Transfer from the station is by a scheduled bus service. Back to top

Why is Thorpe Park located where it is?
When Thorpe Park was originally built it was as a gravel pit. The theme park was not introduced to the site until the late 1980's. Back to top

What times does Thorpe Park open and close?
Thorpe Park is from 15th March 2006 to 5th November 2006. The park opens at 10am and closing times vary throughout the season. The park is closed on certain dates in September and October. Ring 0870 444 44 66 or check www.thorpepark.com for further information. Back to top

STEALTH: The ultimate rocket coaster arrives at Thorpe Park this Summer - Stealth is a gargantuan ride that towers high above the Thorpe Park skyline, effortlessly dwarfing it's neighbour Tidal Wave. What types of rides are there at Thorpe Park?
Thorpe Park has a number of thrilling rides for teenagers and young adults, including Stealth, Nemesis Inferno, the world-first Colossus, Detonator, Zodiac, Vortex and Tidal Wave. There are also rides for younger visitors in Neptunes Kingdom and Octopus Gardens. Back to top

Stealth is the fastest ride at Thorpe Park with a maximum speed of 128km per hour (more than the speed created by hurricane force winds). Back to top

Which ride at Thorpe Park has the highest g-force?
Detonator has the highest g-force measuring 5.5 g's (NASA astronauts only experience 3g at take off). Back to top

How does the Fastrack work?
During certain Standard and Peak periods, Fastrack works using time coded tickets available from the ride entrance of certain rides, which state a time after which visitors can return to the ride for their turn. Once guests have reserved their spot in the Fastrack, they are free to spend extra time enjoying other rides and attractions. Fastrack tickets are subject to availability and trade clients cannot purchase before the day of visit. Back to top

Thorpe Park has the following health and safety codes which it must abide by: Fairgrounds and Amusement Parks Guidance on Safe Practice, The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974, The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1992 and Disability and Discrimination Act 1995. There are numerous baby-changing facilities at Thorpe Park. A limited number of buggies are available at Admissions for a small hire charge and refundable deposit. Back to top

What facilities does Thorpe Park provide for disabled guests?
On arrival, disabled guests can ask for a guide that will allow them and organisers/ carers to consider the suitability of the venue. Most areas of our Park, including parking, restaurants and toilets, are fully accessible for wheelchair users and Guests with other special needs. However, not all our rides are suitable for all our Guests. If a guest has difficulty queuing, easy access to the rides may be made via the exit for those who have been allocated a wristband. In order to obtain your wristband, please visit the Medical Centre (located on the lower level of the Atlantis Dome, where you will find fully qualified medical staff trained to assess your needs. Wheelchairs are available for hire at Admissions for a small charge and refundable deposit. Back to top

What is the procedure for looking after lost children at Thorpe Park?
Lost children are immediately taken to Guest Services between Neptunes Kingdom and Octopus Garden until their parents/guardians are located. Back to top

What happens to lost property at Thorpe Park?
Thorpe Park has its own Lost Property department who are responsible for collecting, cross-referencing and locating all lost items. Lost property can be reclaimed at Guest Services between Neptunes Kingdom and Octopus Garden. Back to top

What height restrictions are there on the main rides at Thorpe Park?
Riders on Stealth, Nemesis Inferno, Colossus, Vortex, X:\No Way Out and Slammer must be over 1.4m. For certain rides, a minimum height applies unless accompanied by an adult. All of the rides have height restrictions, either minimum or maximum, which are set by the ride manufacturer and reinforced by Thorpe Park's own health and safety legislation.
